Picture this: sunrise over the Corinthian Gulf, the scent of olive groves drifting across the road, and 350 cyclists from 28 countries pushing through 105 km of some of the most breathtaking terrain in the Peloponnese. This was the UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki-Greece, where the race was only half the story.
On Sunday, 2 November 2025, riders tackled a route that wound through coastal roads and mountain climbs across the Corinth and Attica regions, past pistachio trees and vineyards, before crossing the finish line to well-earned applause. For 80 of them, the day didn’t end there. They punched their ticket to the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Finals in Niseko, Japan, this August 2026.
As one of 37 races worldwide in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, this one at Loutraki has firmly cemented its place among the year’s top cycling events. Behind the scenes, it took a serious team effort: the Kyvernitis Sports & Events division co-organized the race with the municipalities of Loutraki–Perachora–Agioi Theodoroi and Megara, under the auspices of the regions of Attica and Peloponnese and the Hellenic Cycling Federation.
It’s exactly this kind of event Kyvernitis Sports & Events was built for. As the Group’s dedicated sports division, its mission is simple: build a vibrant sports community while putting Greece on the map as a top sports tourism destination, while delivering seamless experiences for athletes, spectators, sponsors, and local communities alike.
The next edition of UCI Gran Fondo Loutraki-Greece is already on the calendar. Mark Sunday, 1 November 2026. Loutraki throws open its roads once again for the second edition of UCI Gran Fondo Greece, with a brand-new route promising even more unforgettable moments. This year, the road tells a different story. Riders will trace the ancient Isthmus, chase the Corinthian Gulf breeze, and climb into the hills of Nemea, through vineyards that have shaped Greek wine for centuries, before flying back down to the finish line. It’s 112 km of history, elevation, and pure adrenaline, the kind of ride that stays with you long after your legs stop burning.
