Race Information
Each UCI Gran Fondo World Series event confers qualification rights for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. The top 25% of athletes in their age group qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships. This 25% is calculated based on the number of starts in each age group, not the number of riders crossing the finish line.
In addition, the top three riders in each official age group qualify automatically for the World Championships, regardless of the number of starts in that age group. Riders must finish the race to qualify. A rider’s age group is calculated based on his age on 31 December of the year of the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.
Each event in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series serves as a qualifying race for the 2027 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in Haute-Savoie, France: https://www.hautesavoie2027.com/en/
