Travel Measures for travelling to Greece

We would like to share with you the latest travel measures that are in place for travelling to Greece from JULY 1st (International flights).
 

COMPLETE A FORM 24 HOURS BEFORE ENTERING GREECE

As per the joint Ministerial decision issued by the Hellenic Republic, from July 1st until August 31st 2020, all  passengers travelling on international flights to Greece are required to fill in and electronically submit the compulsory Passenger Locator Form (PLF ) 24 hours before departure. The Form can be found in https://travel.gov.gr/#/
 

FLIGHTS TO GREECE FROM US & CANADA

  • Emirates Airlines | New York (Newark EWR) to Athens (ATH) | Starting August 1st
  • Air Canada | Montreal to Athens | Starting July 1st
  • Air Canada | Toronto to Athens | Starting July 3rd
  • American Airlines | Chicago to Athens | Starting August 5th
  • Air Transat's | Canada to Athens | Starting July 27th
  • Delta Airlines | New York (JFK) to Athens (ATH) | Starting August 1st

 

TRAVEL MEASURES FOR ENTERING GREECE

COUNTRIES THAT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VISIT GREECE until JULY 15th: 

Americans and Russians will not be able to visit any EU countries in the coming period, according to a “safe” list announced today in Brussels, the EU’s headquarters. Besides the US and Russia, Brazil, India, and China are not on the list due to high infection rates there too. EU officials did say however that China may be included on the list once it reciprocates for EU travelers. Meanwhile, Greece will not be accepting direct flights from Turkey, the United Kingdom and Sweden until July 15, 2020. A temporarily banning of flights to and from Serbia is also in place until July 15th. Please note that a US or Brazil passport holder can travel to Greece if they have a residence visa from a Schengen country.


COUNTRIES THAT ARE ALLOWED TO VISIT GREECE:

According to an EU announcement, countries whose nationals will be allowed to enter Europe are: Algeria, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, Serbia, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, and Uruguay.


RESTRICTIONS FOR ARRIVING PASSENGERS TO GREECE:

Inbound travelers to Greece will undergo only random spot testing. Passengers submitted to COVID-19 testing upon arrival, are obliged to remain in one-day self-restraint in an address provided by them, waiting for the test result. In case test result comes out negative, all movement restrictions cease. In case test result comes out positive, passenger is informed on the required 14 days quarantine process and receives necessary guidelines.
